Gambler's Poem

~*~ Taken from Laiwyn's book of melodies ~*~

Place a bet upon the table,
Roll the dice, roll as well as you are able,
The gambler's game is as fine as it is simple,
Mischevious grins and fingers nimble,

Pour the wine into my glass,
Another, I say - It is gone far too fast,
Late into the night we play the game,
Win or lose? There is no shame!

Is it my turn again?
Remember to be humble and never vain,
Lady luck is likely to change.
