The Way Back Home: part 4

Bad dreams

Still in Bree working as a weaponsmith I made good coin and honed my skills more. I also noticed how different kinds of ore are affecting the weapon's performance. You can't have your sword to soft or it will bend also not to hard because then it will become brittle. But back to the story. So I have stayed a few months in Bree and made some good friend and made some money. Ah yes my good friend Lourie it is a shame that she couldn't come with me on my journey, it would have been good to have some company. But she had other things at her mind.

So I left again only but one step further, now towards the Misty Mountains to attempt to cross there. But first the Lone-Lands. A dry land, nothing grows there at least nothing good. full of goblin's and warg's. I almost never slept in there, always on the watch for hidden danger. But still, a dwarf can't hold out for long without sleep. slowly but steadily it became darker.. and darker. I heard them they were coming! A whole army of Rhûn marching towards Azanulimbar-Dûm. The ground was trembling, it was like an earthquake. I saw my family's guard, the Silver guard fall under the strength of Rhûn. Suddenly I was at home watching Azanulimbar-Dûm burn, my home no!!

Then I woke up.. just a nightmare. When I packed for leaving I heard some shouting in the distance. Goblin's, wargs? Worse, I had entered the border of Trollshaw's and saw some elves fighting a troll. They had it in hand though so I didn't interfere. Well that was until 2 more troll's added in. reluctantly I threw a throwing axe at one of the trolls. I hit his stomach but he didn't really notice. I ran in swinging my axe against the troll's leg. The troll fell down right against another one. I was almost crushed, always those elves getting me into this trouble! Both trying to get up were finished by elven reinforcement's. The last one was also shot by them. The elves thanked me and brought me to Imladris saying they wanted to give something to me as a gift. I wasn't really looking forward to Imladris but well it was again but one step of my journey. For after Rivendell I would be The Misty Mountains.

Here ends part four of my story.
