Woke up before dawn, and quickly headed out before any guard or tenant of the fort awoke for the days work. How they could sleep with the howls of the monstrous wolves, and screams of deformed men, red skinned, sharp-toothed... Lethal. I can across many of them, but they did not notice me. Only thing that attacked me, resulting in numerous scratches and cuts, was a black bird! I forgot about my knives, for I never carry them and started to run... Finally the bird lost interest. After about an hour, a bridge, hundreds of years old came into site. I crossed, and was stopped by a tall, fair woman, who I now realize is an elf. "None may travel along in this land. You, of all women, would prefer an escort, than travel alone." Sadly the elf was true. I rest on the forest lined side of the bridge, waiting until the next morning to set off, BACK toward that city, then to the Inn, and finally to the Dawnhall. I hope I am not missed.
