Saelleth had undergone many months of training in the valley of Imladris and observed a number of patrols in the surrounding lands. She had progressed well and although her skill with the sword was still lacking in comparison to the fully trained warriors she had learned enough to defend herself competently. Where Saelleth excelled was in the use of the spoken word.
To those few that are capable the spoken word is a powerful weapon. To call upon the blessings of the valar a skilled minstrel can fortify the courage of their companions. But the same blessings can also strike fear into the hearts of those that choose to follow darkness and evil.
For her outstanding efforts and perhaps a small amount of fondness for the young, once reluctant, musician she had been awarded her own sword by Lord Elrond. No longer did see carry the sword of a trainee. Now see carried her own personal weapon Silivegil "The Blade of the White Fire", a weapon most potent against her enemies as it was infused with starlight during its crafting, the light of Elbereth herself.
Soon Saelleth was fighting alongside Lord Elrond’s warbands and patrol with Silivegil and an armour of shimmering silver mail. The enemies of the Free Peoples of Middle earth were not only faced with Lord Elrond’s most deadly and skilled warriors but a crescendo of battle cries that paralyzed and caused dread and panic. Orcs, Goblins and Wargs that once roamed unchallenged now fled before the pounding drums that heralded the coming of Lord Elrond’s forces.

Saelleth Elanorian - Battle Skald of Imladris who bears the light of Elbereth in sword and in song.
