Unexpected leave of Bree-land

Mother was buried one week ago. Such a difficult time, yet he must set the mind elsewhere. Daellas looks at the streets of Bree as he strolls through town, he cant help but feel hollow inside. He sees people chatting idly on the market and mutters to himself "I do not belong here". Daellas thinks of his mother, and at the years in Bree that made her lonely and depressed. He looks to the sky "I will not share your fate, mother!". Daellas hurries home, as he needs to prepare for his guests what would come for the meeting that night, a company that will scout the Gap of Rohan.

Many had come that night, all men and women who share a common goal: Rohan. The meeting did not end well... As discussion turned into bickering and irritation turned into anger, tensions rose. Soon morale dropped as a stone. Daellas looked as his brother and both knew this was not going to work. The meeting was blown off and everyone left. Arunel and Daellas standing alone looked into the starry sky, saying nothing.

Having lost faith in their kinsman and their ability to lead the company, they both looked at eachother "it is time..", Daellas started writing his resignment as officer, Arunel did the same in silence. Both started to pack for a long journey, and slept the night. At first light they brought their horses (Bree-land horses) to an old friend of theirs. Daellas had a lot of trouble leaving his old steed behind, he kissed Windfoot on his forehead and thanked him for all the years.

So they walked out. Into the lone lands, looking one more time over the shoulder at the green grass that covers Bree-land.
