To Each Their Own Battle - Journal - Entry II

Ah, Bree... Such an interesting town at all times. I left the town for about a day, simply for my own mind to settle on recent events. However, when I came back, I was greeted by a not-in-high-spirits Drause, which is, to my imagination, completely impossible. She told me about the night before, and how four men rushed in and began attacking people at random. Three of the four assailants died, and one escaped. I am glad Drause didn't get hurt.. However, now she wants me to teach her how to use a sword. I fear for her losing her childlike innocence if I teach her how to use a blade, because a sword never leads to anything but death, no matter what way you look at it.

A few days before that, one of the employees in the Pony was attacked by two ladies in extraordinarily beautiful dresses, the likes of which I have only seen once before. Furthermore, a Elf came up to me, asking me if I knew Cyliad. I asked why, and apparently Cyliad, former chief of the Dawn's supply line, had wanted to purchase large quantity of materials from someone, to forge armours and weapons. This sounded strange to me, seeing as all people in the Bloody Dawn were already properly equipped. I did not ask any further. However...

The job at the Ridge Estate, with the man of Angmar, four men attacking people at random in the Pony, only a few days after I saw these two not-so-nice looking ladies attacking someone else, and then the fact that Hardoleth apparently had Cyliad prepare for some large-scale battle or something of the sort.

And as I said, the dresses of these ladies were of the likes I have only seen once before, and thought had dissappeared. For now though, all of them are mere suspicions and speculation, but I cannot help but think that all these things are somehow connected, and that soon, we are about to see a major change in every-day life in Bree.
