Truths of a fallen Man - Return to Imladris

Truths about a fallen Man

Chapter one: Return to Imladris

Thendryt gazed upon the house. It hadn't changed much in three years. He tried his old key. It was the same lock, they hadn't changed it. Reckless, he thought.

As he walked inside the familiar house he thought of his letter to Khalis. "Thus Imladris and myself are overjoyed to know you are alive and well." Touching, he thought. But it didn't matter. His task was still at hand.

He heard a noise from downstairs. Elves, by the sound of them. Well, they would find him eventually. He sat down on a chair next to the fireplace on the second floor. He couldn't help but feel at home. He had been away too long. Perhaps the Organisation would let him stay a while before taking care of his task. Not very likely, he told himself.

"Now where is that book..." An Elf stood in the opening, tilting his head at Thendryt. "Mae Govannen, can I help you?" He seemed puzzled but at ease.
"Good evening." Thendryt responded. "I was a member of the Warband a long time ago. I had to make a... Journey... I just got back."
The Elf seemed satisfied with the answer, maybe he had heard of old members.
"I am Osilivren, it is a pleasure to meet you." The Elf said.
"Thendryt, the pleasure is mine."

Formalities were made, he was introduced to other new member of the Warband; Tahjun, Nelnardis and Ebbephant. The last two being quite friendly, he noted.

He was told there were to be a meeting that evening, but it had been postponed. He was taken back to Imladris and the Hall of Fire, where he sat down with a mug of ale and gazed into the flames. He was introduced to a fifth member of the Warband, Faorie.

So this is the one, he thought to himself as he smiled and greeted the Elf. His information was correct. Female, slim, hands of a true swordsman. Or swordswoman. He let it go, he would have to deal with her later, formalities came first.

The night went on and he caught himself being happy for once. He felt safe. Not a feeling he was accustomed to.

Faorie left for patrol-duty, but before she left he snuck a letter into her gear;

Faorie,

Meet me at the stables of Imladris, we have something to discuss.

Thendryt"

And so it begun.
