Uncovered Lore Causes Concern

A recent discovery by the Dwarven Miners of Thorin's Hall's, home to the Dwarf Lord;
Dwalin, has caused panic amongst the nearby Elven settlers.
Recent activity in the area known as 'Silverdeep Mines' unearthed buried Elf-ruins, and a
library of old books. Some Dwarves are claiming the find, others wish to be rid of it;
but the Elves who, until some centuries ago, inhabited the Settlement of Edhelion, demand
the Dwarf-folk to return what is theirs. Elves and Dwarves are known to hold little love
for either of their people, but this recent feud shows just how much they disagree.
The books, of which the contents have been kept secret, are rumoured to be of great
value; to both Elf and Dwarf alike. Thus, the dispute continues. However, the mystery
surrounding them most likely surrounds the fate of the former Elven Settlement.
Edhelion, according to lore, was a place of peace and song; until one fateful day when a
Dwarf called Skorgrim Dourhand invaded, killing many Elves. As said through rumour and
myth, Skorgrim was buried in the rubble of an Elven Library, which collapsed into the
ground. Perhaps the lore, that has been found, is that which he sought? Perhaps the
library is that which the Dwarves have found? Time shall reveal the answers, and the
dispute between Dwarf and Elf continues.
