As time passed for Tahjun in the Gap of Rohan the fear as well as the hate the warriors once had for him had now been replaced with honor. Their was a mutual respect between the two. Tahjun found over the years that battle had a way of changing hearts and turning enemies into allies. In this case, it proved once again to be of truth as he walked among them and heard time after time, "Lord Tahjun!," followed by a bow of respect. Tahjun's response was always the same…a slow bowing of the head with his eyes holding fast to their eyes.
Tahjun had just left Theodred's council. He was weighing the Prince's words as he made preparation for what was to come. The Rohirrim were going to ride to Isengard to confront Saruman. Theodred stated he saw Tahjun as kindred, and wished for him to ride with the Rohirrim for he did not know what was to come. After being betrayed by a clan of the Wild Men, which resulted in Tahjun being locked away in the prisons of Isengard for a short time till he managed to escape…he knew what was to come. Tahjun knew today would give proof of his captivity and all that he had learned during his stay in Isengard.
Saruman was building an army for war!
