~ Greenwood the Great ~
The beauty of leaves upon branches,
Orophers’s realm beyond his gate,
With gardens filled with wonderful dances,
When it was called Greenwood the Great.
We would feast until we were full,
We’d drink until it was late,
Alas, nothing we ever found dull,
When it was called Greenwood the Great.
We looked upon the stars in wonder,
And never find reason for debate,
We thought little of the worlds upon yonder,
For they were not Greenwood the Great.
Before, when skies were touched by the trees,
Before, grass was not soiled with weight,
When spiders fled at the sight of me,
Before, it was called Greenwood the Great.
Indeed nothing can compare,
With this forest fair,
When it was called Greenwood the Great.
