And the seamen saw an Elf with golden manes, reaching down to the end of his spine. His voice was fair and virtuous, pure and unstained.

Last night was certainly different, for much I did not expect. I did not expect my cousin, Lady Tanes, to visit the haven of Celondim. Yet I was most pleased with her presence, she is old, she does not wish to admit it, but she holds knowledge of elder days that I have not yet learned of – or little. Only a few waves after her, an Elf known to her approached. Not only known, but close friends indeed. For their answer to my statement ‘you share memories’ was confirmed by him, Lord Eglanel.
They spoke, and so did I. I learned much that evening, and I appeared not to be the only one that felt a great disturbance coming from the East. I feel that the veins of Ulmo, spread underneath the earth, tremble and quiver at the drums of war and marching feet. If only Ossë one day would show himself to me, I would ask him everything so much. Alas indeed, the water indeed seems to be confound by recent occurrences. I shall sing more songs of praise and be patient, for soon I may travel to the hidden valley. Lord Eglanel spoke of it, and he seemed at ease by the thought of the company Lady Tanes and I would be. I sincerely hope father agrees on this, this may take some effort from my part, to convince him. Later, after having shared word and smile, a Noldo who I believe did not promulgate his name, joined the conversation. Then the three of them spoke, I was most pleased by this. They share tale and discussion and my knowledge slowly, but surely, begins to expand. For growth I seek, in my pursuit of wisdom.

It was the twilight of the day, but the sun did not yet appear. And it was cold between the peaks, cold like in winter.
