on one of his many successful hunts, he returned to his lonesome cave to find a young fox, wandering around. He tilted his head, Poked out his chest, and approached the fox, "You know, it is typically unwise to wander around where you are unsure of how welcome you are. You are fortunate that I allow visitors. What brings you to this place?"
The young fox watched Ace with a nervous grin, "I am simply finding a place to sit, I didn't know it was taken. I am Eva, I am glad you are not hostile towards me like the rest of the forest seems to be."
Ace just stood their and grinned at the fox in his burrow, introducing himself as kindly as he could manage. Thought questions of her soon started pouring, she answered each one honestly.
Ace of course let the fox spend his night in his cave, he hadn't had company for far too long. But soon night became day, day became night, and before they knew it she'd been their for over a month! Now, why would she stay? Why did Ace allow it? The answers are simple when you think about it. Ace, the lone wolf was no longer alone. With someone around, his nook became a home. Just having someone to share what he hunted was more than enough to keep him happy, but a clean place to come back made it even better.
The End
