Pocket Journal entry Six, "Nalokha & The Shadow Blades"

I have met with the red witch, Nalokha in an ominous looking house in Bree. Upon entering, there was little to no light. Only the dim fire casing misleading shadows that made the floor look lower than it was, and the furniture all seemed to blend into the mix of darkness. I looked to my right, and Nalokha sat before me a large throne, that appeared to be decorated in stone made to look like skulls. Though, the light and paranoia could have been the reason behind that. She becomes me forward, asked me why I wanted to speak to her.. My answer was to, "make sure I was swearing an oath to the true red witch of Angmar, and not an imposter". And it was, but not for an oath.. So the shadow blades could take her..

She said something in an unknown language and the fires in the room started to rise. A neat trick, but intimidation is easy to resist. I can see how people would fall prey to the woman. Her words roll off her tongue like honey, and she nearly had me convinced at one point- until a man named Rellas came into the room and started pointing derogatory statements towards me.. Which was a good thing, now that i think about it. If I hasn't realized I would have to work with the likes of him, I might have chosen to stay with the heirs of ruin. But he unknowingly coated Nalokha an ally.

He irritated Nalokha, and she ended up shooing us both out of the room. I went strait for Acelin. There was some sort of event going on in The Shadow Blades' house. I entered in a mask, which was a good idea; there were a few people I recognized standing around that I am not fond of. Abellinda approached me and questioned my appearance, and motif. When I told her I was here because of Nalokha, she looked stunned. Acelin came over to us, and before I knew it they had everyone in the house rallied (with the exception of Lucren and Evallin, apparently.) and we were riding for the manor of Nalokha. Upon arrival, Acelin handed me a pouch of gold and told me to leave, as not to have Nalokha distrust me. I did as I was told. What happened after I left, is a mystery to me.
