A Poem looking ahead to the New Year

And so this year has found us here
All full of song and full of cheer
It's fine to have your friends so near
So celebrate the brand new year

It won't take long, until a song
Is sang, and you will dance along
And happy thoughts will make you strong
So dance away, you can't go wrong

The sun is out, so have no doubt
That there is much to sing about
If you can't sing, you can still shout
Just take a breath and let it out!

It should be said, the days ahead
Should not be ones to bring you dread
So everytime you rise from bed
Let happy thoughts come fill your head

You may find, the days behind
Were sometimes days that were not kind
But free your thoughts and you will find
Those days are pushed out from your mind

The year is done, but still the sun
Has rose to shine on everyone
But don't look back on what've been done
Just look ahead to lots more fun!
