*notices Lu snoring softly as he grabs his journal from underneath their bed*
Lu and I returned only Yesterday from our trip to Weathertop. It truly was a fascinating and romantic trip and the scenery was magnificent also, though the trip definitely had its danger as well.
After much discussing beforehand, Lu and I decided to take our horse and cart and let the stable hand at the Forsaken Inn stable our horse and cart. Lu thought at first that we could take the horse and cart to Weathertop also, but I am glad she changed her mind when we looked at our Weathertop painting before leaving our house.
It rained frequently during our trip, the first rain interval was shortly after we left the homesteads. Lu and I decided to hide under the leaves of trees, hoping that the rain would stop, needless to say it did not stop raining. We decided to continue and we soon saw a lone hole where the Halflings dwell, though no one answered when we knocked several times on the door. However the spot was comfy and the rain ceased, so Lu and I set up our first camp for the Night.
The next day we would arrive at the Forsaken Inn, where we would hand our horse and cart to the stable hand. Lu’s bags were not packed efficiently so we had to downsize our bags, mainly leaving Lu’s dresses behind thank goodness, as that would have meant another three extra bags for me to carry. *laughs softly as he continues writing* I carried three bags and Lu carried two bags as we started our walking leg to Weathertop, though Lu tried to hand me another bag, as she is apparently still recovering from giving birth after almost three months *rolls his eyes lightly*. Weathertop was growing ever nearer.
Lu and I soon found another decent camping spot and we ate some biscuits that Lu made, as she made one hundred biscuits for this trip alone, though they were not very nourishing. The new Dawn came with rain and plenty also. The path went up and down frequently and the rain poured on our heads. Just as Lu started to mention that her legs began to ache , I noticed a path that ran up to Weathertop and Lu was able to confirm that my eyes were not as bad as I had thought.
*tries not to laugh in case he wakes Lu*
Lu did not seem entirely excited as her legs were already aching, though I promised Lu that I would make us a nice and cosy camp fire while she could have a nap. Thankfully the rain started to cease once we finally reached the path, it was becoming Dusk already.
*wished he made himself a warm tankard with milk before writing as he remembers the camp fire*
This was a cosy spot indeed and we decided to rest here for the next two Nights and three Days. Thankfully the weather was good on the day that we decided to set on again. The road winded up and I noticed it was getting ever narrower, dangerously narrow at certain spots and I had to warn Lu to either hold on to me or walk on the far side of the edge.
Things were going well with no dangerous encounters, however that would change soon. At the foot of the arch Lu and I noticed two figures lying near a tree, those two figures were dead Orcs to my surprise, I told Lu to wait but she came to stand beside me and she fainted once she noticed the dead Orcs. *shakes his head and wonders why Lu did not wait* I had to calm Lu down before we continued.
*shudders at the thought of Lu fainting and tries to shrug it off as he remembers the arch*
