Tylan's Journal : Chapter II, Family Orientation.

The part of my journal is a memory of my youth, I was Thirteen, Gallius and Annastaysia Twelve.

This tale begins one reasonably hot day on my aunts homestead, I was in the yard, with the tutor. we was sparring, he had me using real steel at this point, My body was growing, my mind with it. Each passing day I felt stronger, smarter, me and Gallius would often hunt, despite our aunts words, we even snuck Anna with us at times, she hated all that lady nonsense at home.

In the yard, I bested my tutor... for the first time, my blades tip pressed to the mans bare throat, I remember tinking his life was a second from being taken... Such power...

One afternoon, I had finished training, and was heading home from the tutors house when I saw a bunch of lads in a crowd, some shouting coming from them, I wandered over curiously, my hands in my pockets, as I saw my younger brother and sister amomg them, two of the slightly older boys was kicking my brother around on the floor, the other pinninf my sister to the back of the wooden house, trying to simply kiss her it would seem, he was a brute that one, I remember trying to tackle him to the floor screeching to leave them alone as all three of the older boys pummeled me to the ground, they did not stop.....

Annastaysia dashed to Gall to help him up, I screeched for them to run, with much deliberation they left, their little legs taking them as quick as they could. I stopped feeling the pain after a while, they left me battered, blood covering my face, bruises upon my bone structure.

I woke up in bed, My sister wiping the blood from my face, I did not take defeat well, thats still the only time ive ever been bested in my whole life...

We were cautios in the following months, I trained particualry hard, like I had to prove something to myself, maybe I did...
