5th Ringare, Calendar of Númenor
True to this word, I met with Borrandir this evening at the agreed upon location of The Prancing Pony. I came across an odd assortment of fellows gathered before the stairs, It was safe to presume these were the recipients of my letter. An Elf, one of the Lossoth's kin and a men of my blood. Safe to say this little company recieved a mixture of meaningful glances by the usual assortment of rogues and ruffians which have come to inhabit Bree of late.
I mentioned the recieval of a letter to the trio, Inparticular my kinsman, and my thoughts were confirmed. We made way towards the Scholars Stair to allow ourselves alittle privacy from prying ears before discussing the true nature of our meeting. The Lossoth, Ranthe, and Elf, Maeglor, accompanied us the way, I believe there was some mistrust in their eyes though perhaps it was simply their nature.
After introductions were passed, I requested further details about the cause which they fought for aswell as information on the company itself. 'Protectors of the Dunedain' is a grand name after all, but I now understand their motivations and focus are equally grandeous. They requested similiar information about myself, and though I told them little more than my name and birthplace, they seemed content in my convictions also.
Borrandir requested I join them on a quest throughout the Barrow-Downs as way to show my skills to the group, aswell as them being able to show their own. I accepted, many deeds have suffered throughout these Barrows and amongst them my kinsmen once stood. On route we gained another addition to our company, a woman by the name of Alolira, and a man whose name I did not recieve. Both equally skilled with a bow, perhaps rivally that of the Lossoth.
Fell spirits, remnants of the dead, and other foul creatures proved to be the evenings quarry. I believe I shall fit in amongst these fellows soon enough, each would appear to share motivations and goals not unlike my own.
