Battles in the Ettenmoors

Kiriaz had decided to leave the company of Rangers.  Whilst their battle was important, he knew that their path was not his.  He had to defend the realms of the elves; their defense was paramount to the survival of Middle-Earth.

Instead of aiding the Grey Company in the south, Kiriaz rode north once more.  Days turned into weeks as he travelled from Dunland to Rivendell, then to the Ettenmoors.  He wasn't sure what he would find in those lands, save great evil and the few warriors who fought as a resistance against the Shadow.

Perhaps here he would battle his last foe, he wasn't sure.  What he did know was that it was the few, like himself, who held the forces of Angmar in check and prevented the greatest servents of the Witch King from pillaging the lands of Eriador.

His first battles in those lands were met with mixed success: he fought alongside other, more powerful, soldiers.  He helped to reclaim and defend many of the fortresses of the Ettenmoors.  So too did he aid in the defeat of many powerful creatures.  But he found himself waking up in a place of healing quite often as well, recovering from grievous wounds.

Of one thing he was now certain: he had found a place where his enemies were a challenge to defeat.

After several days of fighting, Kiriaz was summoned before one of the commanders of Glen Vraig, who promoted him to the rank of Footman of the Ettenmoors.  He had gained renown in those lands and, perhaps, the lands beyond.
