The Rohirrim in Thorenhad meet with Elves from Imladris (from the point of view of the rangers of the Warband of Imladris)
A few days later a group gathered at the Gates of Imladris led by the Lady Reiven. They rode towards the Bruinen Ford where they met with the rangers from the Warband of Imladris and made their way to the walls of Thorenhad. The rangers went afoot into the treeline that surrounded the ancient ruins whilst the Lady Reiven and the other elves stopped at the earthen ramp that led up into Thorenhad. The party of elves waited until a few of the Rohirrim walked down to the elves, the rangers saw from their vantage point a lot of the men warriors take up archery positions above.
As the elves spoke with Captain Ceobrand below as few of the rangers made their way down the inside of Thorenhad. At first the rangers were met with a little hostility face to face but a few of the scouts they had encountered previously seemed content to speak with them. The rangers explained they were there to ask permission to take a look around the encampment to ensure none of the inhabitants were hurt or held captive and also to see if the Rohirrim had any ability to mount a siege campaign on Imladris. The Rohirrim granted permission but said they would escort the rangers about their encampment to ensure the families with them remained at ease.
The rangers split up to cover the camp as quickly as possible so as to minimize the intrusion, they saw no need to aggravate the Rohirrim who were already on edge. After a short time the rangers came back together to exchange information about what they had seen and they were all agreed that the story of the Rohirrim rang true, that they were indeed making their way homeward from the west. It was also obvious that their supplies were low, from the talk it seemed that the families were the priority to be fed, so much so that some warriors at times went with very little. Aeradin thanked the ones who had taken time to be more polite to them upon their arrival and the rangers then left to pass on their news to the Lady Reiven below.
