'Wait!', shouted Geoack, halting under the west gate of Bree.
The sun was just beginining to set on the warm evening.
Jolbo closed his eyes, sighing. 'Not again...'.
'What Now!?', asked Nilawen in a slightly angry tone.
Geoack hurried up to his friends, the Hobbit and the Elf rumaging around in a large and over filled backpack. 'I need some more food!', Said the Man.
'I can hunt some!', Said Jolbo, hopefully.
Nilawen nodded, 'Me aswell Geoack... can we please get moving'.
'But what if you run out of food to hunt?', Asked Geoack.
'Its a forest Geoack! There are animals and plants all around', Nilawen said in an annoyed tone.
'What if you run out of arrows?'
Nilawen gestured to the full quivers of arrows both she and Jolbo had on their person,'I never thought the Hobbit would be the one saying we have enough food, but we do'.
'Now please hurry up!', Jolbo piped in.
'Fine!' Geoack said, raising his hands 'But if you lose all your arrows don't expect my sword!'
'You worry about yourself, you'll get yourself killed if you start having to think for other people, Geoack', Jolbo said.
Geoack looked a little offended, 'why do you always doubt me...?'
'Because you never think...'
'Look! The Dwarf from earlier' Nilawen said, pointing to a Dwarf who was making his way down towards them from the Prancing Pony.
Geoack looked around, scowling slightly, 'Oh yes... well, time to go, we'll have enough food!'.
Jolbo and Geoack raced over to mounts they had been rented, Jolbo climbing onto the pony and Geoack one of the horses.
Nilawen waved to the Dwarf, who waved back.
'Wait! I need to pick up my new sword!', Geoack exclaimed.
Jolbo and Nilawen both Groaned as Geoack dismounted and raced back into Bree.
The Dwarf walked to the Hobbit and the Elf, bowing, 'Hello, friends'.
'Hello Gungur!' Said Jolbo cheerily to the Dwarf, waving from his mount
'Hello, Jolbo'.
'Gungur, please come with us... Geoack is being a fool', said Nilawen in a worried tone.
‘I thought you were with me in the fact that we were ready to go’, Jolbo said smartly.
‘But Geoack is only looking for materials, the Three of us alone is not good.’
‘There’s Geoack’s friend waiting at Adso’s camp’
‘and you expect he’ll have any more brains that Geoack?’
‘No, but it’s not hard to swing a sword, and four is better than three’
'No, he does not want me there. You will be fine so long as you keep your eyes on him' Gungur cut in.
Nilawen shook her head 'We need somone experianced like you to come. He has no idea on how to lead an Exploration'
‘Although he thinks he does, and that is the most dangerous thing… I do think a little more company may be better after all’, Jolbo said
‘Yes. We’d all benefit from eachothers company, please come Gungur’, Nilawen pleaded.
Jolbo nodded, but Gungur shook his head. 'I am sorry, nothing can be done if he does not want my help'.
'That is right, mister Dwarf' Geoack replied, Making the three jump a little.
'Stop sneaking about!' Jolbo cried in anger to Geoack
'Well, we are ready to leave, It turns out I’d already picked up my new blade, I found it in my sword sheath!’ Geoack said cheerily.
Gungur smiled wile Nilawen and Jolbo both groaned.
‘Geoack… You forgot you had a new sword?’, Jolbo said wearily
‘Yes… but you two didn’t see it either! This one is much sharper and look, the grip is different!’ Geoack said, unsheathing his sword wildly, making everyone jump back in alarm.
‘Geoack! Be careful! And how were we meant to know the difference between one sword hilt and the next?!’, Nilawen shouted.
‘The blade on this one is bronze, the other was chipped and rusty!’
‘The sheath, it stops you from seeing the blade, mister Geoack’ Gungur said smartly.
‘Well, we all know that, thank you for your wonderful insight’, snorted Geoack to the dwarf.
‘Good bye, Gungur', Geoack said firmly and a little rudely.
The Dwarf bowed his head before walking away.
Nilawen looked to Geoack, sighing.
'Can we go now that you turned down the only extra thing we need...?', Jolbo asked.
'Wait... I forgot-', Geoack began, before Nilawen shouted; 'Oh for the love of the Valar!', climbing onto the horse rented for her.
Jolbo began cantering out of Bree as Nilawen prepared to ride.
'What!? I need to prepare!', said Geoack in an offended tone.
'We were meant to leave at Noon!', Said Nilawen, pointing to the setting sun as she began riding off.
Geoack paused for a second, before climbing quickly onto his own mount and cantering after his friends.
