Dear diary,
I spent last night at the Loth-I-Lonnath homestead taking part in some sort of soldier style training. We lined up, turned left and learned how to march as a group while just walking then we tried running! The running part did not go so well and somehow I managed to get left behind! Not very scouty of me! I soon found my pace again and the marching ended with us looking pretty smart! Being a scout and being used to working alone I found it slightly odd to work in a team and move in formation! I am sure with time I will get used to it though!
Then just as we were done with our marching games a female Elf whose name I forget walked up to me and handed me my uniform. It was a fine fit though it is lucky i have my own boots as none were included in the uniform! I do not mind the colour though, dark brown may not appeal to some girls but I know it will help keep me hidden during my scouting missions!
When we had finished marching around a little, I was told to sit and watch while the second in command called Aearandir beat up a recruit named Alfiriel. It was off-course only practice fighting and he didn't really hurt her!
While I was watching the second in command push a little recruit around, I got to sit and enjoy the scenery that surrounds our homestead, what a lovely place it is! I am considering buying a house within the homestead and actually living in one place, something I have not done for many centuries! I am certain that even if I own my own bed I will often curl up on the floor in front of the fireplace and sleep there! Those years I spent sleeping in the wilds will stay with me forever and though I still miss my beloved Mirkwood, this new group really are bringing light into an otherwise dark soul!
I look forward to learning more of this groups battle tactics though I hope that the second in command does not pick on me next time!
Narvinien, scout of Loth-I-Lonnath.
