Background
It is said that in years unknown to most mortal man of Middle Earth today, a great Elf King hosted a Feast for all the kindreds of the Elves.
Mereth Aderthad: The feast of Reunion where oath of friendship and brotherhood where sworn between the kindreds of the Elves, where hope once again rose in the hearts of the firstborn. That feast is long remembered by the Elves.
It is there that a young noldo, much grieved from the loss of his bretheren and friends in the passage of the great frozen mountain, met a young Telerin elf maiden of Falas, folks of Cirdan, elves of waves. From that moment there was great love between them and from their love came a child: a boy.
Who was called by his mother Annuant or Western Gift, for that is how she called both her husband and son.
And by his father he was called: Alwë or healthy one, in the tongue of the exiles.
But today he is most known by his epesse, that came to him much later and from friends rather than parents: Maegrhos or Sharp Rain, for he was known in the elder days for being skiled with the bow.
Child of both Elven Kindreds of Beleriand, this boy grew with his parents who for a time dwelt in Falas, the land of the Falathrim, where once dwelt Cirdan. After reaching adulthood he was eager to learn more of his father's kin, the noldor (having spend his youth with his mothers kin). He traveled to Nargothrond, the kingdom of the sons of Finarfin, the lords that his father served. And there dwelt until the day of its end by the great and terrible dragon. He served as a scout and guide for a while, bearing messages from Elves of Doriath to the court of Oroderth, he learned much of the wilds of these lands and when not in the wilds he walked much in Nargothrond admiring its splendour, that to him seemed like a window to Aman.
After the destruction of Nargothrond, he and many others had to survive a cold winter before fleeing to the other Elven Kingdoms, many went to Doriath, but himself went to to the Havens of Sirion, refuge for the Sindar, Noldor and Edain alike, where his parents dwelt. There he witnessed the third of the Great Wrongs done by the evil oath of Lords of the First House of the Noldor. where the Noldor of Sons of Feanor fought with both Sindar and Noldor to regain what they belived was theirs. Many Eldar perished. But Maeghors remained.
He and His father joined the host of Valinor in what was to be known as the War of Wrath, the greatest and deadliest of the battles. His father perished... And uppon hearing the news the mother of Maeghros sailed West as soon as it was granted, for she hopped one day, her husband shall be released from the Halls of Mandos and gain new life.
Yet Maegrhos remained, he settled in Forlindon (North Lindon) and there dwells even this day. In the late second age he went to war with the Last High King of the Noldor and has seen the horror reborn: Mordor. He now remains guarding Lindon, the last piece of Beleriand, and often traveling along the coast of Lune.
