Event details:
The start of the Dwarven year is here! On the first day of the last moon of Autumn on the threshold of Winter, the Dwarves gather to celebrate the legacy of their great forefather in feast and song! All folk of good will come join the Dwarves of Durin's Folk for this celebration in the Watchful Raven Inn, newly opened on this most august occasion. There will be music and copious amount of ale provided by the generous tavern keep of the inn Motsog (also known as the Dwarrow Scholar). May his beard grow ever longer! And there will also be a tale competition in which anyone can enter. The one who gives the greatest tale as judged by the Dwarven elders will win a grand prize worthy of a mountain king!
All characters of all races are welcome to attend this event, so long as they are in good standing with the Dwarves. But remember this is a RP event, so stay In-Character.
The event schedule:
- The celebration will begin with a speech given by Lord Hosgrim in honor of the ancient forebear of the Longbeards Durin the Deathless.
- Then a few musical performances by the Rolling Kegs and Ingrasion of Bar-en-Acharn.
- And then the tale competition. The topic for story contest is "Home and Travel". Just as the Longbeards once fled Khazad-dum of old to make their new home in the mountains far away, and how Thorin Oakenshield and his Company travelled distant leagues - the story should be about travelling trough far away lands, or about hearth and home. Also try to keep the tale under five minutes.
