Hardoleth

It was a fine afternoon when a gathering started to form on the yard of the Dawnhall. At the corner, by a small hill, a hole disturbed the earth, one that was set to be Hardoleth's, The Captain of the Bloddy Dawn, final home.

One day when your mother gives you this journal to read, and you see what she and others have written for you, I hope I will be beside her, though battle may take me before then. Whether I live or not, I would have you know that you are my true son and heir, whether any others have been born of my blood after this time. I love your mother with all of my soul, and I have known you as a part of her since you were a tiny babe in swaddling, too small even to crawl.

I made it home for Forochel, it was a long ride.  As I rode into Bree, I decided to stop by the Pony before I headed to my house.  But there I found a friend, I like to call him Gigglio-Pants, had been beaten up while I was away.  Though that's better than what I expected to have happened to him.  

By the fire Deorgast sat, near his tent set in the Old Forest. He had just crossed the borders of The Shire to observe the river that flows under the Brandywine Bridge, under heavy rain that fell through all morning. 

"When I felt all of the strength leave me, and I fell to my knees on hearing the news, I wanted to cry but instead everything inside of me screamed for just one more day, one more hour, one more kiss, one more word, one more glance, one more moment and one more chance..."

Hello, my leathery friend. The one sat with me here at my deathbed. As expected, no family, friends doing theirs and me here, bedridden and infirm and only getting out to piss in a bowl next to my bed.. Quite a mess I will leave for others to clean, hah! Oh, I shall not lie, I do enjoy no one seeing me in this wretched state.. coughing phlegm and blood at every turn, but I should get on with this.. will.
