Journal Entry 27 - The Misty Mountain Campaign

The first part of the journey went smoothly, supplies were taken on the way out of the gateway that led to the mountains before making best speed towards Gloins Camp. It feels most odd travelling without out our mounts, this must be what it really is like being in an army like the Order of the Hammer.

Earlier today, a woman of the Second-born stumbled upon our encampment. As she was unarmed, thinly clad, and wounded, I judged her to be of no threat and allowed her to rest inside this outpost for a while.

Parnard sat on a fallen tree, feet dangling, the pointed tips of his boots tracing strange figures in the snow.

"That accursed Man is already causing problems, and we are not even deep into the mountains," he said in Quenya softly to Limiriel .

"What kind of problems?"

The Maethor gathered at the Spire of Meeting along with those of Bar En Vanimar who were to accompany us alongside the elves from the Greenwood. There also seemed to be a few other eldar who had heard of the misfortune of the Greenwood elves and wished to help. It had been a long time since Imladris had seen such a gathering of the Eldar.
