Hiril Nelnardis has returned from the east but not with her companion Ebbephant. Terrible news she carried back to Imladris. Hir Ebbephant has been wounded in battle and is being tended by the healers of Lothlorien. I was in disbelief as Hiril Nelnardis shared the news with Hirils Elisbeth and Faorie upon her return. From the news she bears the wound is a grevious one, which even if he should recover from in body could take his spirit much longer.

We have now returned to Imladris from travelling through Eregion and onwards into Enedwaith learning what we could about the taint which was creeping towards Imladris.

There had been subtle signs noticed by the warders of the vale which had prompted Hir Elrond to summon council to discuss the matter. He had then sent two of the most trusted members of the warders myself and Hiril Elisbeth to discover how far this taint had spread and any other obvious signs which might show them away to cure the problem.

The path North of Rivendell.

Summer has arrived and the Vale is as glorious as it can be, I can see Amorith ‘pottering’ in and amongst the flower beds, Anur warms the Vale and I observe many Eldar peacefully passing by, this day seems perfectly serene.

Late in the eve, Nelnardis makes her way to the house she dwells in whist in Imladris. It has been a day since her brother Nernulas and his friend Halrodh have come to visit. As she walks she sighs, recalling what had been spoken of in The Hall of Fire in The Last Homely House. Her brother would take her home by force if he had to? No, she does not believe that. He was only upset. Besides, he could never bear her all the way back to the Greenwood if she was to be taken by force.
