I was amongst a small company of spears, namely Eomod and Bearwigson, of the Eored, when I came to rest at the campfire of a young woman. It was not long until her...companion, roused more interest. A man, now known as Gondorian born and acquaintenced with the Knights....seemed eager in search for something amongst ruins nearby. He piqued our interest so to speak...and we embarked upon what turned out to be, a dangerous venture East and north of the camp of Ost-Guruth.
The fellow in question, seemed not to mind his accompaniment of women...for a task clearly suited for better men. Thankfully one of the knights heeded our call, and used blade to guide us to some ridiculous goal. All in aid of stories it seemed.
A young Rohirrim girl made the journey with us. She was clearly just a bard, and it was no place for one of such mindset to ever see...though she surprised me. She didn't shrink in fear at the sights we saw...she was unquestioning, and spoke in a voice that resounded strength. Aelfgyth.
After returning to camp, she became acquainted amongst some rabble of friends, all Eorlingas I might add...I did not ask how a group of what appear to be farmers and peasants of the Mearc are doing within Eriador...though I seemed to provide entertainment for their probing questions.
I speak of questions, but so fast did they come, one was barely able to answer. At that point I recalled my upbringing, the land of home...and seemed glad to be rid of it. In that moment...pride I had carried gone. Even I, of East-emnet...with no home worth a mention, except the land that happened to be under my feet, and the position of temporary camps. A mere herder...alas I shall not write it...
Let the answers of those questions fall upon deaf ears, for that is all it would have been. A stiff and resolute lip with no desire to change despite being far from home. I, am not one of them.
