Arthasdir stands atop one of the walls that surround Thorin's gates, gazing down upon the path towards Ferin's court. The early morning light glints in the few snowflakes that fall, moving in the slight breaths of air. Arthasdir watches the road absent mindedly as his mind wanders through thoughts both fresh and old. It had only been a day since he arrived back at Thorin's hall, the business he had attended to in the south and all its connotations play on his forethought however he would smile to himself a little as he thinks about the change he had noticed in Sparrow, hopefully it would help her with her troubles. As Arth wanders through his mind, he would be brought swiftly back to reality by two loud thuds, giving the sound of metal upon hard stone. Arthasdir instinctively moves a hand to a hilt as he turns on the spot but as he observes what made the sound he would smirk, roll his eyes and cross his arms.
Standing there before Arthasdir would be a Dwarf, tall for his race and leaning on an axe that was nearly the height of himself. The Dwarf would begin to slowly chuckle through his beard, “Ye daydreaming there?, Ain't like you to let yer guard down so much!” he would exclaim, still chuckling. Arthasdir would struggle not the chuckle himself and replies with a large grin “Aye perhaps I should not, with all your kind about.”. The Dwarf jokingly raises his eyebrows in shock “My kind eh? I'll remind ya of that the next time you need my axe!”. The two burst into laughter, moving together to embrace the other in a hug, as they do they would pat the others back, still in laughter. As they move apart once more, Arthasdir would bow his head to the Dwarf and speak “So Draskre, my dear friend what news do you bring?”, his face grows a little more serious but still keeping a small grin. Draskre jokingly mimics the bow before replying “Yer thoughts were true, the man did serve 'him', I found this inside the fellow's camp”, as he speaks he reaches down to his belt and pulls from it a piece of paper, he then unrolls it and holds it out to Arth. As Arthasdir gazes down at it he would see atop the piece of paper a small sigil in the shape bird of prey being pierced by an arrow, then a sketch of his own face followed by the few words of “Track him down and find him.” the writing could be presumed to go on but the rest of the note has been ripped off. Arthasdir nods a little and sighs before speaking “Aye, he must have followed you, trying to find me.” he pauses a moment in thought before speaking again “Find my brother, I fear that to end this we will need more then just you and I.”. Draskre nods and replies with a smile “They picked the wrong dwarf to follow, Aye I agree, I know where Illomer last made camp in the east, I'll head there first and track him down from there.” he grins a little as he pauses “At least we know they still don't know where you are!”, Arthasdir smiles in turn and nods “Good to know, I would not wish to endanger the company I now serve with, but I'll be happier knowing there is no threat at all. Did you bring Frost with you?” he says. The dwarf would smirk and nod before saying “Aye he is down by the frozen river chasing hares, and don't worry friend this threat wont last much longer. Alas I will head out, it will be sometime before I reach Illomer's camp and I don't wish to get there with no trail to follow.” Arth smiles to his friend before replying “Keep him safe will you, as well as yourself. I still remember when we had to rescue him after he got himself captured. I believe my company has some business in the lone lands, so I will most likely see you again once I return.”. The two smile and embrace each other once more, as they part Draskre would take a low bow and speak “Your brother and I will see you in time friend, keep yourself safe as we will.” he would then turn and walk off down the steps to Ferin's court. Arthasdir would watch him walk down the path until he past out of sight before turning himself and heading down towards the river, a smile still on his face.
