One day it came, the day the girl had been dredging for: The day when she had to leave Bree, for good.
When she started receiving letters from her mother, she knew that the day would come. Traveling such a long journey might have been fatal during the winter, but now the spring had arrived in Bree and it was time to say farewell to the place she had called her home for the past three years.
She had been preparing for this for several months, the entire winter in fact. She had taken double shifts and extra jobs to earn as much as she could. She had been tired, losing weight, barely having time to eat and sleep, not to mention to rest. She had taken jobs that had required her to give up her dignity and swallow back her pride. But now it all was over.
For her joy, she had the chance to see her dear friend Cedwyn to be happily married. Even though she felt that the groom was not worthy of her friend, she was nevertheless happy for her and hoped that she would live a happy life.
As the journey back to Rohan was long and she was going to take only her trusty backpack with her, with small amount of her belongings, she had begun to sell her items. She sold her fine, fancy dresses and other clothes first, then her books and maps, her jewelry. In the end what were remained were the following items: a crown that her former best friend Skarly had made her, to remind her of happy times. The brooch that Osyth had made her, to remind her of love. Two journals that she had written, to remind her of the good and the bad. Her traveling clothes and her sword. Two of her favorite dresses, one of her fine night gowns and few other necessary clothing items. And lastly, a bag of gold for the traveling and living expenses. Rest of her gold that she had been collecting for quite some time she left for Celnessyn.
She woke up early in the morning, packed the little she owned and left her home, taking her trusty hound Scrappy with her. She ate a fine breakfast in the Pony, talking to her now former employer Barliman Butterbur. After finishing her meal, she left. She did not stay to say goodbye to anyone.
Maybe one day she will reach her homeland, or maybe she does not. One can only wonder. But for now her story in Breeland, as a barmaid of the Pony, is closed.
The End.
((OOC: I want to say thank you to everyone with whom I roleplayed with! It was a blast! But now it's time to move on to another adventures. So bye bye and take care!))
