They could not carry the body of steaduil out but they took his sword and his badge he had earned when in gondor . They gave a quick look around the room , the walls were half destroyed , torhes were lit all around the room . Swords , axes , bows made by low quality materials hanged in weapon holders . They wanted to remember where their leader had fallen . Before they left the Goblin - Town from the secret passage , Tywerd grabbed a torch and burnt his body , to ensure goblins would not disrespect his corpse .
They left from the back door to go their horses tied outside Goblin - Town . Tywerd mounted Steaduil's horse ' Spirit ' while everyone else also mounted their horses . At that exact moment the warg - riders saw them escaping , they began chasing them . The fellowship rode for High crag in hope to espace while warg - riders get crushed by giants .
It turned out as they hoped . The warg - riders were getting crushed beneath the feets of Giants while passing through High Crag . Only one warg - rider managed to pass through high - crag but It was killed by Carlyndra .
The fellowship made it back to Cirith Imladris and passed to Rivendell . They rode for the stables and tied their horses there . Tywerd walked to the Last Homely House and went in to Elrond's library to give him the news of their journey .
Elrond welcomed him friendly upon his entrance and asked :
" What news do you have My Dúnedain friend ? And where is your leader ? "
" We killed the Great Goblin and left the Goblin - Town for dwarves to clear out . But Steaduil .. he couldn't make it . "
Elrond was troubled by the death of steaduil , " Steaduil's death is most saddening . Who shall lead your kinsman now ? "
" I will lead them temporarily . "
" You can not . I have need of you elsewhere Minaithelan .
Tywerd was curious about Elrond's words , He looked troubled .
Elrond : " I can leave Heidwyn in charge . She is a capable leader and a good warrior . Where do you need me , Master Elrond ? "
Tywerd : " Dwarves are trying to enter Khazad - Dum again . They delved too greedily and too deep . You know what they awoke in the Darkness of Khazad - Dum . The Shadow and Flame . "
Tywerd was shaken by these news , the flame of Udûn was awoken . And dwarves would put the whole middle - earth in danger for their greed .
Elrond : " You must leave at once for Echad Dunann . The dwarves have set up a camp in those elven ruins . I fear they are too close to succeeding in their mission . Go now , warn them . "
Tywerd : " I will leave at once Master Elrond . "
Elrond : " I knew i could count on you Minaithelan , may your travels be ever safe . "
Tywerd left the Last Homely House and went to his brethern waiting at the stables . He explained them everything and how he had to leave . He gave the key to the house to Firfalas and told them how he wished Heidwyn to become their new leader . He sayed his farewells to all 5 of his fellows standing before him . He gave them a quick look , put down his hood , and got on his new horse , Spirit . And began riding away from them as they watched .
They have been through City of Death to the Fenced Place , from Imladris to the city of Goblins , In the newly born Sun until the fall of darkness .
The Great goblin was dealt with . The guard of Minas Tirith returned to Bree - land after speaking with Radagast the Brown about the trouble in Angmar . Their new leader Heidwyn began planning their next assault upon the False - King of Angmar .
Tywerd left trollshaws and went to Echad Dunann to warn the dwarves about the danger of their greed . Let us all hope that Tywerd succeeds ..
I have wrote these stories for our " Totems of Ashurz " events that has taken place in the beginning of January , 2014 . Our leader Steaduil has deleted his character , I thought a proper death suitable for a hero was in place . I also had to remove a couple of people who joined the events for various reasons .
