The day of departure has finally arrived, and though I am eager to continue our hunt I am also very sad to leave Rivendell.
It was a wonderful place, and many wonders happened during our stay. I shall never forget it.
And I have a token to remember it by - the Elf who guided our way here has given me a brooch in the shape of the flowers that grow in the vale where I trained my sword-arm, the flowers that look so much like Simbelmynë.
I shall wear it on my tunic proudly and remember. Yes, my tunic - for I bear the tunic of a guard of the Mark now, for the time that I ride with Andswaru. He has given it to me, and it bears special meaning to him, for it belonged to his brother ere he died. Let now a lady of the Mark carry on his legacy!
I will not be writing much the next days. We ride dawn to dusk, and when we don't ride, I must train and sleep. For Father!
